Mission

The mission of the BEAT project is to harness the potential of choral music to promote inclusion, accessibility, and equality by developing educational materials and a toolkit, and by empowering young people, including those with disabilities, to create open and non-discriminatory choral environments.

Vision

A European choral community where music is accessible to everyone, regardless of abilities, where every young person can fully engage, find a sense of belonging, and actively contribute to a more socially responsible and inclusive social environment.

Our primary Target Group:

Young people aged 12 to 30, including those with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds, who face barriers to accessing and participating in choirs.

Choir leaders/educators/teachers: Key influencers in creating inclusive and accessible environments. They will benefit from the toolkit and best practices.

Indirect Target Groups:

  • European Choirs:

    Most are not yet adapted to include people with special needs. They will have full access to the toolkit and resources.
  • Wider community and local society:

    Beneficiaries as the project promotes the values of inclusiveness, accessibility, and diversity, encouraging the adoption of inclusive practices.
